Some of the most memorable country music was from the 1970's. Songs from the heart with plenty of style and classic sounds. A few on my favorite list are:  Donna Fargo, " Funny Face", Charlie Rich"The most beautiful girl", Kenny Rogers " You decorated my life",  Sonny James "My Love", Kari Scott "I've Been Everywhere" and Crystal Gale " Don't it make my brown eyes blue" good and precious memories with all of these great classics..... Country songs are songs that always stay with us....

In the 1940's in the United States there was a large amount of music being performed...One of the most popular was Country and Western.  My favorites perhaps are some of yours also..".Walking the floor over you" by Ernest Tubb...Bill Monroe"s "Blue Moon of Kentucky"..."New San Antonio Rose" by Bob Wills and his Texas Playboys... and " Bouquet of Roses" by Eddy Arnold... Each song had its own special meaning and were loved by many...true music history memories....

Live performances of country music is booming in the Pacific Northwest. In just about every area you can hear country music being performed in all types of venues, by new and older talents as well. Washingtons own Ranch Romance, Wylie and the Wild West, Lila McCann, Brandi Carlisle and Blaine Larson, his song " How do you get that lonely" was a big hit. They are young country at its best...enjoy the music...

The era known as the 1950's in Country Music supplied us with so many new songs and great country song artists. My favorites are:  El Paso, by Marty Robbins.  Sixteen Tons, by Tennessee Ernie Ford.  The Tennessee Waltz, by Patti Page.  All Shook Up, by Elvis.  All I have to Do is Dream, by The Everly Brothers.  And Honey Comb, by Jimmie Rodgers.  I remember all of these country song stylists...such a great time in history for music of all kinds. Good memories....

It was in the mid 1960's...a time in history when country music was very popular in the pacific northwest. And yes, he sang "Big Bad John" . Mr. Dean was a great and classic performer, I will always remember the long drive to Seattle and his wonderful program... Memories...

In the pacific northwest we are lucky to have so much musical talent.... Kari Scott and Harvey Thomas performed in many Puget Sound venues. Their music was popular with all ages. Mainly country songs...with a mix of gospel and pop also.  One of their best:  " Snowbird" was performed every evening...sometimes seven or eight times...it was requested by the audience over and over.
