Michael Travis West first starting writing and singing country music in Northwest Washington state in 1964. He is a well known country artist and has been involved with the music scene in the other northwest areas as well. He says that an idea for a song can come from just about anywhere...His classic song, Dusty little Girl, was written for his daughter. The song "I'm your man" was written about a very sad stranger...
