Northwest Dance and Music Clubs of the 1950's and 1960's in the Puget Sound, Washington
In the years past, the Puget Sound area of Washington state was a mecca for new country music entertainers. They often would play their music in small and large club venues. Some of the most popular in the 1950's and 1960's were: Seattle's Aqua Barn, The Circle Tavern, Shelton's Tropic Ballroom, The Kinney Barn in Snohomish, Tacoma's Midland Hall, The Belfair Barn Dance and Wagon Wheel Park in Camas, Washington. A great number of country music fans attended wonderful country music performances at these very stylish clubs... a meet and greet of the early days...good times.

The Bar-K- Gang, country music artists, history
The Bar-K-Gang was a country music group in the Pacific Northwest . The consisted of the now famous Buck Owens, Don Rich, Shotgun Red Hildreth, Dusty Rhodes and Nokie Edwards.(Ventures) They recorded a number of country music songs while in the northwest, the most popular is: Under your spell again in 1960... this was a big hit for them. They played numerous country clubs and fairs till they moved on. A true music find for everyone that liked country music in those great years of country.
