Northwest Dance and Music Clubs of the 1950's and 1960's in the Puget Sound, Washington
In the years past, the Puget Sound area of Washington state was a mecca for new country music entertainers. They often would play their music in small and large club venues. Some of the most popular in the 1950's and 1960's were: Seattle's Aqua Barn, The Circle Tavern, Shelton's Tropic Ballroom, The Kinney Barn in Snohomish, Tacoma's Midland Hall, The Belfair Barn Dance and Wagon Wheel Park in Camas, Washington. A great number of country music fans attended wonderful country music performances at these very stylish clubs... a meet and greet of the early days...good times.
